1 After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to
pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses' assistant,
saying: 2 "Moses My servant is dead. Now
therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the
land which I am giving to them--the children of Israel. 3 Every place
that the sole of your foot will tread upon I have given you, as I said
to Moses. 4 From the wilderness and this Lebanon as far as the great
river, the River Euphrates, all the land of the Hittites, and to the
Great Sea toward the going down of the sun, shall be your territory.
5 No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life; as
I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you nor
forsake you. 6 Be strong and of good courage, for to this people you
shall divide as an inheritance the land which I swore to their fathers
to give them. 7 Only be strong and very courageous, that you may observe
to do according to all the law which Moses My servant commanded you; do
not turn from it to the right hand or to the left, that you may prosper
wherever you go. 8 This Book of the Law shall not depart from your
mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe
to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make
your way prosperous, and then you will have good success. 9 Have I not
commanded you? Be strong and of good courage; do not be afraid, nor be
dismayed, for the Lord your God is with you wherever you go."
10 Then Joshua commanded the officers of the people, saying, 11 "Pass
through the camp and command the people, saying, 'Prepare provisions for
yourselves, for within three days you will cross over this Jordan, to go
in to possess the land which the Lord your God is giving you to
possess.' " 12 And to the Reubenites, the Gadites, and half the tribe of
Manasseh Joshua spoke, saying, 13 "Remember the word which Moses the
servant of the Lord commanded you, saying, 'The Lord your God is giving
you rest and is giving you this land.' 14 Your wives, your little ones,
and your livestock shall remain in the land which Moses gave you on this
side of the Jordan. But you shall pass before your brethren armed, all
your mighty men of valor, and help them, 15 until the Lord has given
your brethren rest, as He gave you, and they also have taken possession
of the land which the Lord your God is giving them. Then you shall
return to the land of your possession and enjoy it, which Moses the
Lord's servant gave you on this side of the Jordan toward the sunrise."
16 So they answered Joshua, saying, "All that you command us we will do,
and wherever you send us we will go. 17 Just as we heeded Moses in all
things, so we will heed you. Only the Lord your God be with you, as He
was with Moses. 18 Whoever rebels against your command and does not heed
your words, in all that you command him, shall be put to death. Only be
strong and of good courage."
Unlike Joshua and the Israelites we do not have to march into the
promise land for the Lord has already bought us in through the cross.
The word Hebrew means those who have crossed over. And we have
crossed over from darkness to light by the will of our Father and the
grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. But the Lord is saying there is
still a battle in the heavenlies and as we are praying and the blessings
are beginning to flow to use individually, we must be praying for one
another, as intently and as seriously as we are praying for ourselves
for the blessings will flow in unison.
We have gone through a
drought both spiritually and monetarily and the land still is going
through. But like the sons of Issachar who understand the times
and the seasons it is time to come out. Now this is in my spirit
this morning. It is imperative that we pray for one another, for
your own sake. For the Lord is about to open up the windows of
heaven upon us, like never before.
2 Corinthians 10:1-6
1 Now I, Paul, myself am pleading with you by the meekness and
gentleness of Christ--who in presence am lowly among you, but being
absent am bold toward you. 2 But I beg you that when I am present I may
not be bold with that confidence by which I intend to be bold against
some, who think of us as if we walked according to the flesh. 3 For
though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh. 4 For
the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for pulling
down strongholds, 5 casting down arguments and every high thing that
exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought into
captivity to the obedience of Christ, 6 and being ready to punish all
disobedience when your obedience is fulfilled.
I want you to look and see what God has shown me.
2 Kings 7
1 Then Elisha said, "Hear the word of the Lord. Thus says the Lord:
'Tomorrow about this time a seah of fine flour
shall be sold for a shekel, and two seahs of barley for a shekel, at the
gate of Samaria.' " 2 So an officer on whose hand the king leaned
answered the man of God and said, "Look, if the Lord would make windows
in heaven, could this thing be?" And he said, "In fact, you shall see it
with your eyes, but you shall not eat of it."
3 Now there were four leprous men at the entrance of the gate; and they
said to one another, "Why are we sitting here until we die? 4 If we say,
'We will enter the city,' the famine is in the city, and we shall die
there. And if we sit here, we die also. Now therefore, come, let us
surrender to the army of the Syrians. If they keep us alive, we shall
live; and if they kill us, we shall only die." 5 And they rose at
twilight to go to the camp of the Syrians; and when they had come to the
outskirts of the Syrian camp, to their surprise no one was there. 6 For
the Lord had caused the army of the Syrians to hear the noise of
chariots and the noise of horses--the noise of a great army; so they
said to one another, "Look, the king of Israel has hired against us the
kings of the Hittites and the kings of the Egyptians to attack us!"
7 Therefore they arose and fled at twilight, and left the camp
intact--their tents, their horses, and their donkeys--and they fled for
their lives. 8 And when these lepers came to the outskirts of the camp,
they went into one tent and ate and drank, and carried from it silver
and gold and clothing, and went and hid them; then they came back and
entered another tent, and carried some from there also, and went and hid
it. 9 Then they said to one another, "We are not doing right. This day
is a day of good news, and we remain silent. If we wait until morning
light, some punishment will come upon us. Now therefore, come, let us go
and tell the king's household." 10 So they went and called to the
gatekeepers of the city, and told them, saying, "We went to the Syrian
camp, and surprisingly no one was there, not a human sound--only horses
and donkeys tied, and the tents intact." 11 And the gatekeepers called
out, and they told it to the king's household inside.
12 So the king arose in the night and said to his servants, "Let me now
tell you what the Syrians have done to us. They know that we are hungry;
therefore they have gone out of the camp to hide themselves in the
field, saying, 'When they come out of the city, we shall catch them
alive, and get into the city.' " 13 And one of his servants answered and
said, "Please, let several men take five of the remaining horses which
are left in the city. Look, they may either become like all the
multitude of Israel that are left in it; or indeed, I say, they may
become like all the multitude of Israel left from those who are
consumed; so let us send them and see." 14 Therefore they took two
chariots with horses; and the king sent them in the direction of the
Syrian army, saying, "Go and see." 15 And they went after them to the
Jordan; and indeed all the road was full of garments and weapons which
the Syrians had thrown away in their haste. So the messengers returned
and told the king. 16 Then the people went out and plundered the tents
of the Syrians. So a seah of fine flour was sold for a shekel, and two
seahs of barley for a shekel, according to the word of the Lord. 17 Now
the king had appointed the officer on whose hand he leaned to have
charge of the gate. But the people trampled him in the gate, and he
died, just as the man of God had said, who spoke when the king came down
to him. 18 So it happened just as the man of God had spoken to the king,
saying, "Two seahs of barley for a shekel, and a seah of fine flour for
a shekel, shall be sold tomorrow about this time in the gate of
Samaria." 19 Then that officer had answered the man of God, and said,
"Now look, if the Lord would make windows in heaven, could such a thing
be?" And he had said, "In fact, you shall see it with your eyes, but you
shall not eat of it." 20 And so it happened to him, for the people
trampled him in the gate, and he died.
Ecclesiastes 1:9-11
9 That which has been is what will be, That which is done is what will
be done, And there is nothing new under the sun. 10 Is there anything of
which it may be said, "See, this is new"? It has already been in ancient
times before us. 11 There is no remembrance of former things, Nor will
there be any remembrance of things that are to come By those who will
come after.
Amos 3:7
Surely the Lord God does nothing, Unless He reveals His secret to His
servants the prophets.
As
was then, so it is now. There is confusion in the land, not only
in our land but also throughout the whole world. Monetarily the
world is in a state of confusion. People who have relied upon
their horses and their chariots are going under. But those who
trust in the name of the Lord shall be saved. At this time and in
this place, if we earnestly pray for one another and pray for the people
of God and have a vision of the prosperity of God’s people, becoming so
great that others will want to come to it. If not because they
believe in Jesus, but because of what they see. Because after
that, there shall be a falling away. But in this time it is time
for us to gather the spoils. In the days of Elisha the flour and
the barley was cheaper than they ever expected it to be.
In these days it is the gas and the oil and you haven’t seen the bottom
of it yet. But what you will see are the manufacturers turning on
one another. What you will see is the nations mistrusting and
turning on one another. Old alliances will break down and new
alliances will come forward. And in the midst you will see God’s
hands on his people.
Pray that our eyes be opened that we can see and perceive. And
that our ears are open that we can hear and understand and that our
heart is ready to discern the time and the season and that we do not
miss the visitation of the Lord. For His anointing is going to
become strong on his people. When we pray for one another we must
pray as Jesus has told us, has commanded us.
Isaiah 43:22-28
22 "But you have not called upon Me, O Jacob; And
you have been weary of Me, O Israel. 23 You have not brought Me the
sheep for your burnt offerings, Nor have you honored Me with your
sacrifices. I have not caused you to serve with grain offerings, Nor
wearied you with incense. 24 You have bought Me no sweet cane with
money, Nor have you satisfied Me with the fat of your sacrifices; But
you have burdened Me with your sins, You have wearied Me with your
iniquities. 25 "I, even I, am He who blots out your transgressions for
My own sake; And I will not remember your sins. 26 Put Me in
remembrance; Let us contend together; State your case, that you may be
acquitted. 27 Your first father sinned, And your mediators have
transgressed against Me. 28 Therefore I will profane the princes of the
sanctuary; I will give Jacob to the curse, And Israel to reproaches.
Isaiah 1:18-20
18 "Come now, and let us reason together," Says
the Lord, "Though your sins are like scarlet, They shall be as white as
snow; Though they are red like crimson, They shall be as wool. 19 If you
are willing and obedient, You shall eat the good of the land; 20 But if
you refuse and rebel, You shall be devoured by the sword"; For the mouth
of the Lord has spoken.
Proverbs 18:19-21
19 A brother offended is harder to win than a strong city, And
contentions are like the bars of a castle.
20 A man's stomach shall be satisfied from the fruit of his mouth, From
the produce of his lips he shall be filled.
21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue, And those who love it
will eat its fruit.
We must step out of our
comfort zone and not only pray for one another but also encourage one
another with our words. And as we speak we must also believe.
As we hear from the Lord we must also say. Not just to the people
who are here but to the people who God has brought across your path.
We must be the living epistle that Paul talked about and then allow the
Lord to reveal to you what he is doing in your life; you haven’t seen
anything yet. But because he loves you he shall show you the
greater, that your calling shall be secure, to be able to discern the
body of Christ and to be used as a noble vessel. I hear the Lord
Jesus speaking that. Amen.
We pray that this message has been a blessing to you.
